SpaceX has made history today by successfully catching the booster of its Starship rocket after it launched and returned to Earth. This is a big step forward for Elon Musk’s company, which aims to make rockets reusable for future space missions.
During the fifth test flight, the Super Heavy booster was caught by giant mechanical arms, known as the "chopsticks," as it slowly came back down to the launchpad in Texas. Cheers and excitement filled SpaceX’s control room as the team celebrated the rocket’s safe return.
This success brings SpaceX closer to its goal of reusing rockets for trips to the Moon, and eventually, Mars.
