AI startup Cursor, which creates tools for code completion and editing, recently raised $60 million in Series A funding, bringing its valuation to $400 million. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and included contributions from Thrive Capital, the OpenAI Startup Fund, and Google Chief Scientist Jeff Dean.

Cursor, founded by four MIT graduates in 2022, has gained popularity among engineers at top AI companies like OpenAI and Midjourney. The company’s tools, which cost $20 to $40 per month, help developers write and edit code efficiently.

Cursor's AI-powered code editor, described as a “Google Docs for programmers,” uses advanced AI models to predict, write, and edit code. The startup aims to automate much of the tedious work in coding, enabling engineers to focus more on creative tasks.
